SUN Bucks Program
More than 500,000 Washington children will receive funds this summer to help buy food through a Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) program called SUN Bucks.
The SUN Bucks benefits, a one-time payment of $120 per eligible child in each household, will be deposited onto SUN Bucks cards that have been provided or mailed beginning in early June.
Families are encouraged to provide income information to their school districts to ensure that their students have access to much-needed school meals.
This information helps determine students’ eligibility for meals, and it is also used to identify other student benefits such as reduced fees and additional funding for schools. Information provided may also be used to qualify eligible children for Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer (Summer EBT) programs.
Family Income Surveys are offered to families whose schools participate in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) or Provision 2. CEP and Provision 2 schools provide meals at no cost for all students in a school, but income surveys provide crucial eligibility information for other student benefits.
We are asking the families of our students to please fill out the Family Income Survey by the end of May to ensure that the students receive their SUN Bucks. Bring the form into the school or mail it. Thank you!
