Degrees and Certifications:
Dr. Kathleen Werner
Taholah School District Superintendent K-12
Greetings: I am happy to introduce myself but most excited to know all of you. I was born in Aberdeen, graduated from North Beach. I have three grown children and seven wonderful grandchildren and one amazing husband. I started my career after raising my children. I was a paraeducator for 9 years and then went to college and received my teaching degree. After one year of teaching first grade I realized I did not know enough about teaching literacy so went back to school and received my Masters in Literacy. After six years of teaching I again went back to school and received my administrative residency certificate from City U. And after two years in administration as an elementary principal, WA state requires that you go back for further training, which I did and received my administrative certificate. In 2013, I received my doctorate in organizational leadership with an emphasis in effective school from Grand Canyon University. I have had the privilege of serving as an elementary principal for 16 years. I also teach on-line classes for City U. I am thankful for this opportunity to serve all, here at Taholah.
